The best UGC platforms for apps in 2026

Updated · 8 min read · By Yap Factory

The short answer

There isn’t one best UGC platform for apps; there’s a best fit for how you want to pay. Per video, no subscription: Yap Factory (a first video from about £15 ($18) all in) or JoinBrands’ free plan. A monthly plan with many creators posting: SideShift (from $299 a month) or Insense (from $400 a month). Pay only for views: Noise or Content Rewards. No real person needed: AI avatar tools from $39 a month.

We run Yap Factory, so we’re in this list. Every fact about the others comes from their own pages, checked 27 September 2026.

How to choose

Most app teams pick on two questions: do you want a video file, or a post? And do you want to pay monthly, per video, or per view?

  • You want a few videos to run as ads or post yourself: a per-video marketplace. You pay for what you order and own the file.
  • You want dozens of creators posting about your app every week: a monthly platform such as SideShift, or a views campaign on Noise or Content Rewards.
  • You want reach and only care about views: pay-per-view, where you set a price per 1,000 views.
  • You want to test lots of scripts, fast: AI avatars are cheapest per video. They aren’t a real person, and TikTok and Meta label AI-generated content (see real creators vs AI UGC).

Yap Factory

A UGC marketplace built for apps, open to brands and creators in the UK, US and Canada. We’re letting people in a few at a time while we launch.

  • Pricing: no subscription. Creators set their own rate, £8–£160 ($10–$200) a video, and you pay a 15% service fee, at least £2.50 ($2.99) a video. A first video with a new creator comes to about £15 ($18) all in.
  • Finding creators: you brief once and get a ranked shortlist of 5 to 8 creators, each with a plain-English reason they fit. You see their real TikTok videos, not follower counts.
  • Protection: your payment is held by Yap Factory until you approve a watermarked draft. 3 revision rounds are included. If the creator never delivers, you’re refunded in full.
  • What you get: the clean video file. Posting on your own channels is included; ad rights are priced by each creator.
  • Less suited to: guaranteed views, or creators posting to their own large audiences.

The other platforms

SideShift

A marketplace and operations tool that leans towards apps: it syncs App Store Connect data and lists app customers. Plans are $299, $499 or $999 a month (less billed yearly), with creator pay on top; SideShift says its median creator costs $7 to $9 a video. You post a job and creators apply. Creators post on their own accounts, and nobody is paid until you approve. See SideShift alternatives.

Insense

A subscription marketplace for UGC and influencer work that names mobile apps among its customers. The Brand plan is $500 a month billed quarterly or $400 billed yearly, plus a 10% fee on creator pay; UGC videos start at $100. You get edited and raw files with a perpetual digital licence, and up to three revisions.

JoinBrands

A self-serve marketplace with a free plan (15% fee, one revision) and paid plans from $99 a month with lower fees and more revisions. Its pricing page lists UGC videos from $25; its help centre gives a default of $60 (£50) a video. Your payment is held until you approve.

Billo

A large marketplace with an app-marketing page and creators in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia. It publishes no price list; you buy packs that load a balance. Two rounds of edits per video, and all rights pass to you on approval.

Collabstr

An influencer and UGC marketplace where you buy creator packages. Free with a 10% hiring fee, or $299 a month for Pro. Profiles show follower counts and engagement; you get up to 72 hours after delivery to ask for a revision.

Influee

Monthly plans by number of collaborations, from $229 for 10, plus a 10% fee on creator pay. It says the average 30-second UGC video in the US costs $57 on its marketplace, with unlimited revisions.

soona UGC (formerly Trend)

Trend.io is becoming soona UGC, with videos from $89 each. Creators are vetted and their pay is set for you, and you get raw files with full licensing rights.

Noise

Pay per view, with most of its customers mobile apps. You set a price per 1,000 views and pay as views arrive; creators earn from 50 cents to a few dollars per 1,000 views, often on brand-new accounts about one brand. It raised a $5.5 million seed round in September 2026.

Content Rewards and viral.app

Tools for running many creators who post on their own accounts. Content Rewards runs view, per-post and retainer campaigns from $1,000 with a 10% fee. viral.app is software for finding, tracking and paying creators, with a marketplace where you post a job and creators apply, from $99 a month.

AI avatar tools

MakeUGC (from $59 a month) and Creatify (from $39 a month) sell credits for AI presenter videos. Arcads prices inside its app. They’re the cheapest way to test many scripts, but there’s no real person behind the recommendation.

What to check before paying

  • The real cost of one video: the creator’s pay, plus any fee, plus the monthly plan divided by the videos you’ll actually order.
  • When you pay: before the creator films, on approval, or per view. And what happens if a creator doesn’t deliver.
  • Ad rights: whether running the video as a paid ad is included, extra, or time-limited. It’s often called usage rights.
  • Revisions: how many rounds, and whether a full re-record counts.
  • Where the creators are: an app for UK users needs UK voices.
